Principals Welcome

Welcome to the 2026 school year at The School of Math, Science and Technology through Art! It is with great excitement and pride that I welcome both returning families and those joining us for the first time. We are honored to partner with you during these pivotal middle school years, years filled with discovery, growth, and endless possibility.

At The School of Math, Science and Technology through Art, we are deeply committed to providing a rigorous and engaging education with a strong focus on mathematics and science. Our curriculum is designed to challenge students, foster critical thinking, and develop problem-solving skills that will prepare them for success in high school and beyond. We also emphasize the integration of the arts to encourage creativity and innovation across all disciplines.

Beyond the classroom, we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience. From STEM clubs and science fairs to art programs, sports, and leadership opportunities, there are many ways for students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build lasting friendships.

Whether your child is beginning 6th grade or preparing for the transition to high school, our goal is to make their experience at The School of Math, Science and Technology through Art positive, meaningful, and inspiring. We encourage open communication between school and home and invite families to get involved through our parent-teacher organization, events, and volunteer opportunities.

Thank you for your trust in us. We look forward to an exciting year filled with learning, growth, and community.

“It is not enough to teach to know; you have to teach how to reason.”

Assistant Principals Welcome

I’m truly honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at MSTA. This year marks my 12th year as an educator, and I’m proud to say all of those years have been right here in my home borough, The Bronx. It’s the place that raised me, shaped me, and continues to inspire the work I do every day.

One of the things I care most about is helping students see themselves as leaders—not just in the classroom, but in life. My hope is that they’ll grow into adults who come back to their communities, just like I did, ready to make a difference. I believe deeply in the power of education to change lives, and I’m committed to supporting our students as they grow into confident, capable, and compassionate individuals.

I’m excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to see all the amazing things we’ll accomplish together.

- Assistant Principal Rosado

Hello, MSTA community.  This is my 19th year as a Bronx educator and my 3rd year with the MSTA community. Before taking on this role as Assistant Principal, I was a proud middle school math teacher for over 15 years, and my mission is to make math engaging and accessible to all learners while making connections to real world experiences. And, as a lifelong Bronx resident, I love sharing the magic of NYC - the greatest city in the world - with all of our students.
