Policies and Procedures
Cell Phone Policy
The Yondr Program utilizes a simple, secure pouch that stores a phone. Every student will secure their phone in a personally assigned Yondr pouch when they arrive at school. Students will maintain possession of their phones and will not use them until their pouches are opened at the end of the school day. Students are required to bring their Yondr pouch to and from school each day and are responsible for their pouch at all times.
Forgotten Pouch
If a student forgets their Pouch, their phone will be collected and the Parent will receive a phone call to remind them of the student phone policy. The phone will be returned to the student at dismissal.
If a student consistently forgets their Pouch, it is considered lost.Refer to the Lost Pouch policy above.

How Yondr Works

Uniform Guidelines
Why do we have a dress code?
At MSTA, we want to show PRIDE in our school, our scholar’s achievements, and represent with our colors! We support and show off our community pride when we represent the school proudly in the building and in the community. Students and staff have designed and developed an awesome array of options for students to choose from. Leadership groups sport their own special shirts each year!
Where can I purchase clothing aligned to the uniform policy?
Uniforms are available for purchase at the school in the main office. We also have specialty dress code items available for purchase with PBIS points at school store.

We respectfully request that all student dress and appearance is neat, clean, in good repair, and in good taste. For example, shirts must be large enough that they cover the student’s stomach, and pants must fit so that undergarments do not show. Clothing that is extremely tight fitting or too short is not acceptable for the school environment. Head gear (e.g., hats, hoods, do-rags, bandanas) of any kind is not permitted.
What happens if a student comes to school out of Dress Code?
- Students will be asked to put on dress code appropriate clothing so that they do not miss any class.
- Families will be contacted by the school and will be expected to bring appropriate clothing to school for the student.
- If the school has shirts to loan the student, families will be notified and students will sign a shirt out for the day and return it at the end of the day.
- Once a student is appropriately dressed, they will return to class so they do not miss any instruction. Should a conflict occur, families may be asked to come to the school to clarify the school policy and discuss other disciplinary actions.
